Abstract

Requirements gathering is a crucial phase in software development that aims to
understand user needs and define system requirements. This study focuses on the
collection of requirements to design a scholarship management application at the
University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) using the Organization Goal-
Oriented Requirement Engineering (OGORE) method. The OGORE method is
used to ensure that the collected requirements are relevant to the organization's
goals and involves stages such as elicitation, analysis, refinement, and validation of
requirements.
The research process includes data collection through observation, interviews, and
literature studies. The result is a Goal Tree Model (GTM) that describes the
organization's goals, IT goals, tasks, resources, and related actors. This process
produces functional and non-functional requirements that are designed into use
case, activity, and class diagrams to support system development.
This study is expected to contribute to designing an effective scholarship
management application, simplifying administrative data management, and
increasing the efficiency of the scholarship registration process. The findings show
that the OGORE method can minimize the risk of application development failure
by emphasizing user needs that are in accordance with the organization's vision and
mission.
