Abstract
Introduction: Depression in diabetes sufferers can reduce motivation to comply with treatment, reduce quality of life, and increase the risk of long-term complications. Sampling was taken with total sampling with a total of 85 respondents.
Results: the majority of respondents experienced mild levels of depression (35%), while the majority of respondents experienced quality of life (62%). The results of data analysis showed a P-Value of 0.008 (<0.05), which stated that there was a relationship between the level of depression and the quality of life of diabetes mellitus sufferers.
