Abstract
Background : Pre-wedding is providing preparation to increase awareness, understanding and knowledge of married-age teenagers regarding starting a family or married life. Problems that can disrupt the mental health of pre-marital couples are anxiety or psychological disorders which can be interpreted as mental problems in the readiness of the prospective bride and groom. Anxiety during the wedding process can make the bride and groom feel hesitant about getting married.
Methods : This research study uses analytical descriptive methods. Researchers use a technique in the form of total sampling because sampling is where the number of samples is the same as the population. The sample in this research was data collection by filling in a questionnaire with a total of 100 respondents.
Results : Based on research that has been conducted, on average, prospective brides and grooms who experience more stress and anxiety are women because women who enter young adulthood aged 18-25 years will experience a greater increase compared to men.
Conclusion : Based on the researchers' conclusions, women experience higher levels of depression, stress and anxiety on average compared to men.
