Abstract

Engaging learning occurs when the teaching process incorporates relevant and interactive learning media. Based on observations and interviews conducted at SDN Tlekung 02 Kota Batu, it was found that although the school is equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure, the use of interactive learning media, particularly in mathematics lessons, is still lacking. Teachers tend to use conventional media such as whiteboards and printed materials to deliver lessons. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on the Canva application, named "MEDITA", which is designed for mathematics learning for third-grade students. The focus of the material is on ordering and comparing data, a topic often considered challenging by students at this level.
The research method employed is the Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) as a systematic framework for developing the learning media.
The study results show that the "MEDITA" learning media meets validity and feasibility standards based on the established criteria. This is supported by assessments from media experts, which scored 82.14% (very good), material experts, which scored 83.33% (very good), teacher responses at 100% (excellent), and student responses at 92.37% (excellent). Based on these results, it can be concluded that "MEDITA" is an engaging, feasible, and effective interactive learning media for teaching mathematics to third-grade students at SDN Tlekung 02 Kota Batu.
