Abstract

This research aims to analyze the type and functions of code-mixing that are spoken by Cinta Laura and Nessie Judge in Nerror YouTube content. This research focused on two research objectives. First, is to know the code-mixing types used by Cinta Laura and Nessie Judge. Second, is to identify the functions of code-mixing used by Cinta Laura and Nessie Judge. To collect data that was needed, researcher used content analysis methods and transcript instruments. The collected code mixing type shows that both subjects used code-mixing. Likely words insertion code-mixing, phrase insertion code-mixing, hybrid insertion code-mixing, repetition insertion code-mixing, idiom insertion code-mixing, and clause insertion code-mixing. While the function of code-mixing there is quotation function, addressee specifications function, message qualification function, repetition function, interjection function, personalization and objectification function, and facility expressions function.
