Abstract
Language is an important communication tool between humans. Arabic is a language. Importantly, one language that is widely used with the spread of Islam in the province of Bangkok in Thailand is an area. Some of its residents are Muslims who adhere to the principles of the Qur'an written in Arabic, making students pay great attention to learning Arabic. The purpose of this study was to study the motivation and needs of students at Suanrath Vittaya School in Bangkok province in Arabic language subjects further about Arabic. Researchers used questionnaires and interviews with junior high school teachers and students. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of the study found that most students have high motivation and desire to continue Arabic language subjects. The learning motivation that is most in demand by students in learning Arabic is religious motivation, meaning that Arabic is the key to learning religion. To understand the Qur'an and spread religious, cultural and academic motivation in learning Arabic. There are also other factors that make the motivation of Suanrath Vittaya School Junior High School students so that they are interested and fond of learning Arabic.
