Abstract

How is the implementation of a pleasant PAUD to SD transition policy in Bajeng Sub- district described? What factors support and hinder the implementation of the PAUD to SD transition, and what efforts can be made to overcome problems in implementing the PAUD to SD transition in Bajeng Sub-district? The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the ECD to primary school transition policy in Bajeng Sub-district has been implemented, the support and barriers to implementing the ECD to primary school transition policy, and to determine efforts to overcome problems in implementing the ECD to primary school transition policy. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects were Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Paranga Kindergarten and Romang Rappoa State Elementary School in Bone Village, Bajeng Sub-district, Gowa Regency. Data were collected by means of observation and interviews, as well as documentation. The data was processed with the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that: (1) The enjoyable PAUD to SD transition policy in Bajeng sub- district has been well implemented. (2) The successful implementation of the PAUD to SD transition program in Bajeng Sub-district is supported by various parties, including the Gowa Regency Education Office, supervisors of kindergarten and primary school guidance, principals, teachers and parents of students and also students' peers. (3) Efforts made in implementing a pleasant PAUD-SD transition policy in Bajeng sub-district are socializing the policy to all agencies in Bajeng sub-district, Gowa district, issuing circulars, forming the Gowa district PAUD-SD Communication Forum, conducting socialization and advocacy for PAUD-SD transition, and offering professional development and support to educators.
