Abstract

This study aims to know, explain and analyze legal protection for daily workers who experience work accidents; To know, explain and analyze the concept of legal protection for freelance day workers. Based on the analysis of data and facts, the author concludes that legal protection for freelance daily workers in Indonesia is regulated in article 190 paragraph (2) of Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning employment, Law no. 24 of 2011 concerning BPJS Employment. Legal protection for casual day workers who experience work accidents at fish export companies, such as in Sorong, is regulated by Indonesian labor law. Although freelance day workers do not always have the same employment status as permanent workers, the law still guarantees their basic rights, especially regarding occupational safety.
