Abstract

This study designs an automatic chicken feeding system by applying the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the feeding process. The research process begins with problem identification through observations and interviews with chicken farmers, revealing difficulties in feed management and coop temperature monitoring. Subsequently, a literature review is conducted to explore relevant theories, followed by the design of a prototype that includes wireframes and the final prototype. The resulting prototype is tested using the cognitive walkthrough method, demonstrating a 100% success rate in task completion and an average completion time of 11.91 seconds. To evaluate user satisfaction, testing is performed using the Single Ease Question (SEQ) method, yielding an average score of 6.44 out of 7. These results indicate that the designed system is not only user-friendly but also meets user needs in feed management. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of technological solutions for more efficient chicken farming.
