PENDEKATAN TEORI MODEL KEPERAWATAN VIRGINIA HENDERSON DENGAN GANGGUAN TIDUR PADA PASIEN HAIRY CELL LEUKEMIA DI RUANG SEMERU RSUD Dr. SAIFUL ANWAR KOTA MALANG

Background: one of the problems of Hairy Cell leukemia patients is sleep disorders. This study aims to see the effect of aromatherapy inhalation with lavender essential oil on the quality of sleep of cancer patients. Methods: the research design used is quantitative research with case study design. In this case using Virginia Handerson theory approach in conducting the assessment to the patient. By inclusion criteria; at least one month of cancer diagnosis, no impairment of the sense of smell, stability of vital signs, age range 18-65 years, absence of sinusitis and nasal problems, a score of ≥5 in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the exclusion criteria consisted of patients taking sleeping pills. Results: results of the evaluation of Mrs.T obtained good results that the level of sleep disorders decreased to good category with the results of a score of 5 which indicates good patient sleep measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire with the application of Virginia Handerson's theory in the rest component .
