Abstract
This study aims to describe and explain the implementation of differentiated learning in Islamic Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 25 Kota Malang. The research is designed using a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. The findings indicate that differentiated learning enhances the quality of education by accommodating the differences in students’ learning styles, interests, and readiness—key characteristics of a heterogeneous classroom. In the planning phase, teachers design flexible materials and conduct an initial assessment to map students' needs, while also utilizing media and learning resources tailored to the students' characteristics. During the implementation phase, students are grouped according to their abilities, interests, and learning styles, with assignments that can be adjusted to their preferences.
