Abstract
Figurative language refers to the use of words or expressions that deviate from their literal or straightforward meaning to create a more vivid, imaginative, or expressive effect. This research is purposed to describe the types and the meanings of figurative language used in the film entitled "Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)." The method used in this research is the documentation method in qualitative research by analyzing the dialogue in the film script, then classifying the data and finding the results of the figurative language used in the film. Based on the finding, there were 27 sentences contained of figurative language including one type of simile, five types of symbols, six types of idioms, seven types of hyperbole, five types of personification, and three types of metaphor.
