Abstract
The background of this study is taken from the case of expedition liability whose settlement process is carried out through non-litigation channels at the Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency. This study aims to analyze the settlement process of Consumer goods cases that are suspected of being lost during the delivery process of goods carried out by the Melati Expedition in Malang City and to determine the responsibility of the Melati Expedition in Malang City for Consumer goods that are suspected of being lost in the delivery/distribution process. As for the objectives that have been mentioned, the author chooses the first problem formulation How is the settlement process of Consumer goods cases that are suspected of being lost during the delivery process of goods carried out by the Malang City Expedition? Second How is the responsibility of the Melati Expedition in Malang City for Consumer goods that are suspected of being lost in the delivery/distribution process? This research is an Empirical research or in short field research with the Case Approach method and the Conceptual Approach. Where Where is the location of this research conducted at the Suggiarto.Law & Partner Law Office and BPSK Malang City. The results of this study are to analyze the BPSK settlement process in handling cases of lost goods during the delivery process. The BPSK decision is considered unable to resolve the problems of consumers (our clients) and business actors (the expedition party). In addition, the author also analyzes the extent to which the responsibility of the Malang city expedition party is caused by the Malang city melati expedition having a limit of responsibility.
