Abstract
Background: Hallucinations are one of the symptoms often found in patients with mental disorders or can be called schizophrenia, where patients perceive a real or unreal event in the form of hallucinations in the form of words arranged in imperfect sentences. Therefore, this study aims to conduct management of auditory hallucinations with a medical diagnosis of schizophrenia.
Method: This research method is used in the Final Scientific Work of Nurses with a case study approach. The author studies cases through the nursing process, namely assessment, determining nursing diagnoses, making nursing interventions, implementing nursing actions, and evaluating interventions. In the process of data collection, the author conducted interviews, observations, and documentation from the patient Mrs. S.
Results: After conducting SP 1 - SP 4 for 11 days, the patient said he was able to control his hallucinations by doing daily activities. Objective data shows that the patient is able to control his hallucinations by doing daily activities by helping in the kitchen. So that planning is carried out with an evaluation of SP 1 - SP4 about controlling hallucinations.
Discussion: Analysis of interventions with nursing diagnoses of auditory hallucinations that nurses do in the form of SP 1-4 hallucinations, the results are that the patient is able to explain the signs and symptoms of hallucinations, how to rebuke conversations and obediently take medication. So this intervention must be carried out routinely and is expected to provide an effect that is in accordance with the patient's complaints.
