Abstract
Education plays a crucial role in shaping individual character, especially among students who will become the next generation of this nation. A common issue that arises is the understanding of Pancasila and the character of fourth-grade students at SDN Landungsari 1 Malang during the implementation of learning activities. This study aims to determine the implementation of student character, the obstacles and supports encountered, and the solutions provided to address the challenges faced in executing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) during fourth-grade learning.
The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Landungsari Malang, which is located on Jl. Tirto Rahayu, Dusun Bend., Landungsari, Kec. Dau, Malang Regency, East Java. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, 22 July – 1 August 2024. The data source in this research used primary data sources, through interviews with class IV teachers with Mrs. Fani Rahma Sari, S.Pd and secondary data sources in the form of journal reference. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification.
The Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) in class IV SDN 1 Landungsari implements character education based on Pancasila values through a comprehensive and structured approach, which involves developing cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Research shows that P5 implementation is carried out through contextual themes such as survival, interactive learning methods, and activities that emphasize mutual cooperation, independence, and global awareness. The success of the program is supported by visionary school leadership, family support, and student enthusiasm, however, it faces challenges in the form of task difficulty, diversity of student abilities, and adaptation to the Independent Curriculum. The solutions implemented include continuous evaluation, curriculum adjustments, development of collaborative learning methods, integration of spiritual practices, and a comprehensive assessment system, which aims to shape student character according to Pancasila values in a holistic, adaptive and student-centered manner, preparing them to become a generation of character. strong and ready to face global challenges.
