Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a progressive disorder or damage to kidney function and kidney function cannot be completely restored to its original state or what is commonly called irreversible. Chronic kidney failure or CKD is a disease that is a global health challenge due to the emergence of many new cases, increasing incidence rates and mortality rates
Objective: The purpose of writing this Final Project is to analyze the effectiveness of Benson Deep Breathing Relaxation therapy interventions in Reducing Anxiety in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Patients
Method: The research method used to compile this final scientific paper uses a case study report. The writing follows the scientific method in accordance with the rules of the nursing process which include: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation. In the assessment, the researcher used data collection techniques such as anamnesis, observation, interviews, and physical examinations to collect some data.
Results: The priority nursing diagnosis found in this study was anxiety related to fear of failure which was indicated by the patient appearing restless and having difficulty sleeping. The nursing intervention given was anxiety reduction by administering Benson relaxation therapy. The results obtained after the intervention were that verbalization of worry related to the conditions faced decreased, restless behavior decreased, pulse rate decreased, and blood pressure decreased.
Conclusion: anxiety reduction intervention by administering Benson relaxation therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients with CAPD actions
