Abstract
The development of technology can improve the quality of human resources if implemented properly, correctly and intelligently. Based on initial observations made by researchers, the application of media at SDN 1 Karangan has been running but it was found that the use of media and technology during the learning process was less than optimal. This study aims to: (1) Determine the effect of the PBL learning model based on flipbook pdf corporation on higher order thinking skills for class III students at SDN 1 Karangan, (2) Determine the effectiveness of the PBL learning model based on flipbook pdf corporation on higher order thinking skills for class III students at SDN 1 Karangan.
This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design type that uses treatment (experiment) and no treatment (control). By using a population of all class III students totaling 41 students. The data collection technique used in this study is probability sampling which is not selected randomly with the help of Cluster random sampling used in this study as a sampling method.
From the results of the pretest (before being treated) and posttest (after being treated) hypothesis testing using the Paired Samples t-Test test, the Sig value was 0.000 <0.05, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it is stated that there is a significant influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model based on Flipbook PDF Corporate on mathematics subjects in grade III. With an average pretest value (before being treated) of 61 and a posttest (after being treated) of 86, there was an increase in the percentage of mathematics learning outcomes in grade III by 42%. There is a very large influence on student learning outcomes and student development regarding analyzing, evaluating and creating in the cognitive domain. The effectiveness of the problem based learning model based on Flipbook PDF Corporate on Higher Order Thinking Skills in students is very effective in terms of the suitability of the indicators, namely suitability with learning objectives, suitability with the content of the lesson material and the teacher's skills in using it and in accordance with the level of student thinking.
