Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the influence of employee competencies on employee performance with job promotion as a mediating variable. The population in this study consisted of employees in operator positions, totaling 55 respondents, using simple probability sampling as the sampling technique. The data analysis methods applied were scale range analysis and path analysis, assisted by SPSS software. The scale range analysis results showed that employee competencies fall into the good category, employee performance is high, and job promotion levels are also high. The path analysis results indicated that employee competencies have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, employee competencies have a positive and significant influence on job promotion, job promotion has a positive and significant influence on performance, and employee competencies have a positive and significant influence on employee performance mediated by job promotion.
