Abstract
The advancement of technology and information has brought changes in various fields of knowledge and communication, one of which is the emergence of TikTok. Tiktok is one of the social media platforms with the highest number of users currently, reaching 126.83 million users. (Dataindonesia.id, 2024). This application allows its users to express their creativity through video content. The current development of TikTok is capable of having a widespread impact, even on aspects of child-rearing or parenting. One example is the account @abe_daily, which features content showcasing the closeness and interaction between fathers and children, a theme that has not been widely uploaded by other creators. This research aims to identify the communication topics used by fathers with their children that foster closeness between them. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, supported by the use of content analysis methods with the unit of analysis being scene excerpts from the content aired on the @abe_daily account. The data collection technique in this study used observation and documentation techniques conducted over the content upload period from January 2024 to October 2024, totaling 366 uploads. There are 4 subcategories of communication topics in @abe_daily's content, including discussions about daily experiences, understanding the surrounding world, imagination and creativity, as well as feelings and emotions. The conclusion of this research is that building closeness by inviting children to experience things directly can strengthen the bond between father and child. The communication style used by Abe's father involved simple language, starting by asking the child questions, responding to the child's answers, and playing together with the child. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the TikTok application can be used to convince the public about the importance of a father's role in parenting and can dispel the common notion that parenting is only important when done by mothers.
