ANALISIS KESIAPSIAGAAN SEKOLAH DALAM MENGHADAPI BENCANA ERUPSI GUNUNG SEMERU MELALUI PROGRAM MITIGASI BENCANA

Disaster education is very important, especially for schools located in disaster-prone areas, schools should teach disaster education to anticipate disasters that occur, so that when a disaster occurs students can be better prepared, not easily panic and can take appropriate action when facing emergency situations.
This study aims to describe school preparedness as well as supporting factors and inhibiting factors in dealing with the Mount Semeru eruption disaster at SD Negeri Supiturang 02 and SD Negeri Sumberurip 02. The type and approach of this research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this study included principals, teachers and students. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The techniques used in data analysis are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.
The results of this study indicate that school preparedness in facing the Mount Semeru eruption disaster at SD Negeri Supiturang 02 is superior and can be said to be more prepared than at SD Negeri Sumberurip 02, these results can be seen from the indicators of preparedness achievement which include: attitudes and actions, school policies, emergency response planning, and resource mobilization. The supporting factors for school disaster preparedness can be seen from its ability to cooperate with disaster-related institutions outside the school. These institutions include the BPBD, Health Office / Health Center, TNI, Police and so on. Then for the inhibiting factors of school preparedness in the face of disasters can be seen from the learning in the classroom not all material in the classroom can be integrated with disaster, then the lack of a special disaster fund budget that causes the disaster mitigation program to not run optimally.
