KARYA ILMIAH AKHIR NERS MANAJEMEN SELF CARE UNTUK MENURUNKAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA LANSIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI DI KELURAHAN BANJEREJO

Background: Hypertension is a health problem that is quite serious and dangerous.
As many as 188.6 thousand people were recorded as suffering from hypertension
or high blood pressure in Bojonegoro from January to August. Even though the
disease is not contagious, it is still dangerous and can cause complications.
Research method: This research use a case report, namely the research carried out
focuses on a particular case to be observed and analyzed thoroughly until complete.
The case in question can be singular or plural. This type of research is used if the
researcher wants to obtain an overview of a case that is studied in depth.
Results: By carrying out foot massage therapy interventions, the benefits of which
can relax the nerves in the feet and can also reduce blood pressure in patients. This
intervention is carried out for approximately 4 days and is also balanced with
education for the family to maintain the patient's diet, such as recommending a low
salt diet and also a low sugar diet.
Conclusion: implemented intervention using foot massage therapy on Mrs. M with
hypertension for approximately 4 days in the Diponegoro room in Banjarejo village,
Malang district, can be applied in the patient's healing process because there are
several interventions that can provide an improvement impact both in clinical and
psychological aspects so that patients can maintain their health.
