Abstract
The assignment of Traffic Light Signalling Devices (TLSD) to the scope of bridge infrastructure is considered not in line with the purpose of bridge design as the bridge is intended to support dynamic loads as its primary load. Traffic signals included in the scope of the bridge can trigger saturation points, causing the bridge to support the volume load of vehicles. The research is aimed at examining the rules of TLSD layout in the scope of bridge infrastructure and in realising this, Researcher use normative juridical research methods with sources of research materials for literature studies and interview results. the type of legislative approach was chosen as the related problems have a relationship to the applicable laws and regulations. Legal vagueness regarding the provisions of the prohibition of the determination of traffic signals on the scope of the bridge has a negative impact, both directly and indirectly. The sagging of the foundation of Soekarno Hatta Bridge in Malang City is clear evidence of the direct negative impact, while the legal uncertainty of the legal umbrella for determining the layout of traffic signals is an indirect negative impact that can be felt by the community, as there is no form of law enforcement of non-existent regulations. The related problems give Researcher the opportunity to draw conclusions, that the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number PM 49 of 2014 concerning Traffic Light Signalling Devices does not specifically regulate the provisions of the prohibition of the determination of TLSD on the scope of the bridge and therefore the researcher suggests the Ministry of Transportation to immediately form a Minister of Transportation Regulation containing provisions prohibiting the determination of TLSD on the scope of the bridge, while in the real case of the Soekarno Hatta bridge in Malang, the researcher suggests the Malang City Transportation Office to carry out one-way road traffic engineering on road MT. Haryono-road DI. Panjaitan-road Bogor.
