Abstract
This research aims to determine the existence of gemblak warok culture in Reog Ponorogo art.
The title of this research is the gemblak warok reog ponorogo tradition.
The method used in this research is qualitative research which aims to understand what phenomena occur in the research subject as a whole.
The results of this research were then analyzed using Erving Goffman's dramaturgical theory.
In this dramaturgical theory, researchers understand the use of various stages by a gemblak, namely the use of front stage, back stage and off stage.
Apart from that, researchers also use social life phenomenology to find out how the gemblak tradition itself has developed and whether it still survives the development of the modern era.
In this research, researchers are required to look for available resources without any interference from prejudice and so that they can find pure value in the development of the Gemblak Reog Ponorogo tradition.
This research finds out how a gemblak behaves in society and various factors in the development of the gemblak tradition itself so that it can conclude that its basis for the development of the gemblak warok culture itself currently no longer exists due to various factors, starting from external factors and also internal factors.
