Abstract

Education must change from time to time. Education is a learning process. The learning process is an activity that transforms students in order to achieve the goals to be achieved. In a learning process there will always be those who experience difficulties, both difficulties in understanding the material, difficulties with facilities and infrastructure at school and others. Therefore we need learning media that can make students understand the material. Based on the needs analysis obtained from the results of observations and interviews, students in class II at SDN Brambang Pasuruan experienced difficulties in learning writing cursive and capital alphabet.
In addition to experiencing difficulties in writing cursive and capital alphabet, learning media are still not available that can attract students' interest in understanding the material. Therefore, researchers developed learning media, namely magic book media on learning outcome, learning objectives, and learning goal achievement indicators for “Merdeka” curriculum. With the magic book media, it is hoped that the media can attract students' attention both in terms of appearance and understanding of the according to writing cursive and capital alphabet, so that learning becomes efficient. This magic book media uses the ADDIE research model, the research model is in accordance with the development of the media to be developed. The ADDIE media magic book model has been validated by material experts and media experts and obtained a percentage of 80% validation of material and 87,5% percentage validation of media, which means that the media is feasible to try out.
So the researchers implemented magic book media in class II SDN Brambang Pasuruan and obtained percentage 100% teacher response questionnaire, percentage 96% student response questionnaire, and percentage 96% student test of responses, which means that the media was declared good and students liked the magic book media. Suggestions for Suggestions for teachers are expected to be able to use the media to facilitate students in conveying learning material according to class II writing cursive and capital alphabet. Suggestions for students are expected to be interested in understanding the material, to train students' patience and cohesiveness more, especially when writing with mediamedia.
