Abstract

The increasing access to the internet and the use of social media, especially among teenagers, has brought negative impacts such as cyberbullying which can have a serious impact on the mental health of teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cyberbullying victims on social media on mental health among students. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach.
The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Banyuwangi with a population of 93 students using probability sampling techniques with the total sampling method. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and partial tests (t-tests) to measure how much the independent variables affect the dependent variables. This study shows that the effect of cyberbullying victims on adolescent mental health is 11.8%. The results of this study show a significance level of 0.01 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of cyberbullying victims on adolescent mental health. However, from this study it can also be concluded that adolescent mental health can also be influenced by other factors such as parenting patterns, family conflicts, health problems, and changes in the individual's social or environmental environment.
