Abstract
Various regional offices in Indonesia have different mandates in the
implementation of local government. Regional institutions, as technical policy
makers, play an important role in supporting the performance of local
governments. Employees, as the main asset in the implementation of government,
play a significant role in the success of regional development. To improve
performance, competent and professional government apparatus is needed.
Currently, the world of work leads human resources with modern competence. To
evaluate the performance of employees at the Education Office in 2022. The main
focus of this research is on the following two things: identification of factors that
affect employee performance and evaluation of performance improvement efforts
that have been carried out.
The 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, all citizens of the
Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia have the right to obtain education and
are required to take basic education. The government is responsible for designing
and implementing an education system that aims to create a workforce that is
confident, obedient, and well-behaved in an effort to educate the nation's life. Law
Number 20 of 2003 regulates provisions related to the education system. The
development of the education sector is very important for human development so
that human resources become intelligent, skilled, and virtuous. This is determined
in Article 31 paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution, which reveals that all citizens
have the right to education. So, as a public service provider, the government must
provide adequate education and explore the potential of the community itself.
Obstacles in service to the community are reduced, while the reason for the lack
of appreciation for employees by the government can be overcome by conducting
evaluations every six months or periodically
