Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the condition of transactional leadership, organizational commitment, and employee turnover intention; the effect of transactional leadership on employee organizational commitment; the effect of transactional leadership on employee turnover intention; the effect of organizational commitment on employee turnover intention; and the effect of transactional leadership on turnover intention with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. The type of this study is explanatory research, with the population among employees of P2TL (Penertiban Pemakaian Tenaga Listrik) PT. PLN Unit Layanan Pelanggan Malang Kota is 62 employees. The data analysis technique uses scale range analysis and path analysis. The results of this study show that transactional leadership is obtained in the categories of sufficient, high organizational commitment, and sufficient turnover intention; there is a positive and significant influence between transactional leadership on employee organizational commitment; there is a negative and significant influence between transactional leadership on employee turnover intention; There is a negative and significant influence between organizational commitment on employee turnover intention; and organizational commitment is proven to be an intervening variable in the influence between transactional leadership on employee turnover intention.
