Abstract
The rapid advancement of technology in the globalization era has significantly transformed education by providing extensive access to information and innovative learning tools. Educators are now required to integrate technology into the learning system, making it more effective and interactive. Learning media, which includes print, audio, visual, and multimedia, plays a crucial role in the teaching and learning process. However, many educators still rely on print materials, making the development of technology-based media, such as Android applications, essential. The "Fraction Explorer" application developed in this study aims to enhance students' understanding of fraction concepts with interactive features accessible without an internet connection, using Ispring and website to APK tools for ease and efficiency.
This research uses the ADDIE development model with five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the Analysis stage, learning needs and objectives are identified. The Design stage involves planning the structure and strategy of learning, including the selection of appropriate methods and media. The Development stage is the process of creating learning materials based on the established design. During the Implementation stage, the developed materials are tested or applied to students. Finally, the Evaluation stage assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire process and identifies necessary improvements or adjustments. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, documentation, and tests.
The research results indicate that the "Jelajah Pecahan" media underwent two stages of validation, with initial results of 66% for both content and media, indicating the need for revisions. After improvements, the second validation results showed 75% for content and 81.56% for media, signaling suitability for field testing. Evaluations revealed that teachers gave a score of 91.67% for curriculum alignment, design, and enhancement of student understanding and interest in learning. Student responses were also very positive, with a score of 90.9%, reflecting that the media is user-friendly and effective in increasing learning motivation. Student test results indicate the media's effectiveness, with 98% of students achieving scores above the established qualification.
