Abstract

This study aims to describe authentic leadership, job satisfaction, and work engagement, and analyze the effect of authentic leadership on job satisfaction, analyze the effect of authentic leadership on work engagement, analyze the effect of work engagement on job satisfaction, and analyze the effect of work engagement in mediating the effect of authentic leadership on job satisfaction. The population in this study were all teachers at SDN Patokan 1, and SDN Patokan 2. The sample used was all 31 teachers. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling. The analysis technique in this study used a range of scales and path analysis. The results of the analysis show that the authentic leadership variable is in the good category, the job satisfaction variable gets a very satisfied category, and the work engagement variable gets a very high assessment. Authentic leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction, authentic leadership has a significant effect on work engagement, work engagement has a significant effect on job satisfaction, and work engagement mediates the effect of authentic leadership on job satisfaction.
