Abstract

Reading Skill is the skill of converting written symbols into sound symbols and understanding the meaning of these written symbols. The essence of learning this skill lies in the second aspect, but that does not mean that proficiency in the first aspect is not important, the ability to read written symbols is the basis of the ability to understand reading texts. Using media and models that are not suitable with the needs and interests of students, causing the learning process that occurs in the classroom to be boring and making students lazy because it is difficult to understand the meaning of the text. To solve this problem, researcher a learning model that collaborates between the online learning process and offline learning and uses technology-based on media, so as to make the learning process fun, easy, and can help student to enjoy the process of learning.
The puposes of the study are: (1) to find out the application of Blended Learning models in Reading Skills learning at MTs Al Hidayah (2) to determine the effect of the application of Blended Learning on improving the learning outcomes of Reading Skill grade VII MTs Al Hidayah students. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods with quasi-experimental research types. The population of MTs Al Hidayah Karangploso Malang students is 31 people. The research instruments used are in the form of tests and questionnaires. The result of the research shows that using of Blended Learning models in the learning process greatly affects the level of student learning in Reading Skills, because of the combination of conventional learning with offline and online learning using e-learning-based media. This is proven based on the results of the t test showing that t count > t table (9.842> 2.042), then Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. hypothesis that reads There is an influence of the Blended Learning method media on improving Reading Skills result study at MTs Al Hidayah Karang ploso is proven and accepted.
