Abstract
This study aims to test the effectiveness of using picture books in increasing the English vocabulary of young children in formal education environments. This research uses an experimental design involving the number of students as the experimental group and the number of students as the control group. The experimental group was given regular learning using picture books, while the control group was not. The results showed In this chapter, the researcher provides the findings and discussions. Based on data in collected, these findings have been obtained. Furthermore, the researcher analyzes the data and gives a thorough justification of the results that are pertinent to the research issue during the discussion portion of the study that Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test for pretest-posttest 1, 2, and 3, a p-value of 0.009 was obtained; 0.005; and 0.005 (p-value < 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an influence between the use of board books on vocabulary enrichment in kindergarten students. This can be seen from the calculation of descriptive statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel on the mean values of the pretest and posttest results, as well as the Wilcoxon test results in SPSS which show that there are quite significant differences. Media Board Books are very suitable as children's learning media in stimulating and stimulating the development of thinking and memory processes in children aged 5-6 years.
