Abstract
Based on observations and interviews with grade 3 teachers, the results of the needs analysis at SDN 3 Wagir Lor were obtained, namely the lack of media at the school. The material taught to students still uses the lecture method. The learning delivered to students still uses books. By using this method, students are more easily bored during learning. There are some students who are less active and do not pay attention to the teacher when explaining the material to the students. This research aims to develop a gamtir board game safari media (Thinking Images) on theme 1 (growth and development of living things) for grade 3 elementary school.
This media development research uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model has 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, response questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive.
The results of the research on the development of gamtir safari board game media (thinking images) in material validation received a result of 83.3% with good criteria and media validation received a percentage of 90.6% included in the very good criteria. The results of the teachers' response regarding media development received a percentage of 90% with very good criteria, and the results of the students' response received a percentage of 93.3% with very good criteria. The next suggestion for researchers is to be able to develop media in terms of materials, appearance, or content even better.
