Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance with work ethic as an intervening variable. The sampling technique uses a saturated sampling technique. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method via questionnaires distributed to employees. The data analysis method used is a range of scales and path analysis assisted by SmartPLS 3.0 software. The research results show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Apart from that, work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on work ethic, and work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Further analysis shows that work ethic mediates the relationship between work motivation and employee performance.
