Abstract
The development of technology and social media has transformed how society, including K-Pop fans, obtains information. The @nct_menfess account enables NCT fans to share and receive information in real-time through a bot automation system. This research aims to understand how NCTzens experience social media use in fulfilling their information needs about their idols.
This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with five informants who are NCT fans and users of the @nct_menfess account, supported by documentation from the @nct_menfess account. Meanwhile, the theoretical foundation used in this research is the Uses and Gratification Theory.
Fans' experiences in using @nct_menfess show various dynamics. They feel satisfaction when they can access information quickly and interact with fellow fans in real-time. Fans utilize this platform not only as an information source but also as a space to express their support and enthusiasm for NCT.
