Abstract

Questions will be very helpful in the learning process, especially in
interaction and checking knowledge. In the learning process, various questions will arise. These various questions can be categorized into certain types. There are several types of questions, one of which is the type of question based on intent. This study aims to (1) describe the types of questions used by teachers in PPG learning, (2) describe the types of questions used by students in PPG learning.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The data source comes from PPG student learning videos on Indonesian language material. Data in the form of questions used by teachers and students. Data collection techniques use observation and data transcripts. The analysis was carried out in three stages,
namely, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions.
From the results of the analysis carried out on the PPG learning video, four types of questions were found based on intent. The teacher uses request questions, rhetorical questions, directing questions and probing questions in learning that predominantly uses probing questions. Students only use probing questions in
learning. From the questions from teachers and students in the learning, the most dominant type of question used is the probing question type. The teacher is more active in asking questions during learning, while students are more active in asking
questions in presenting presentations
