MEKANISME PENCEGAHAN DAN PENANGANAN TERHADAP TINDAKAN BULLYING DI PONDOK PESANTREN MODERN MALANG (Studi dilakukan di pondok pesantren Ar-Rohmah putri malang)

This study was conducted with the aim of understanding the mechanisms for preventing and handling bullying incidents at a modern Islamic boarding school (pondok pesantren) in Malang. The prevention and handling efforts represent measures taken by the boarding school to minimize bullying among students. Such incidents often arise from misunderstandings, whether due to behavior or words. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, and data was collected through interviews with the Guidance and Counseling (BK) department responsible for bullying cases, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the modern Islamic boarding school in Malang has mechanisms in place to prevent and address bullying. In terms of prevention, the school conducts education and socialization about the definition of bullying and the potential impacts it can have. Additionally, the BK department conducts visits to dormitories to directly observe the students' conditions and as an early detection measure for any bullying incidents. Information about conflict management is also posted on bulletin boards. For handling bullying, the school has a system where the BK department will summon both the perpetrator and the victim after receiving a report from the musyrifah (dormitory supervisors) or dormitory guardians. The BK department will then provide treatment in the form of scheduled individual counseling or refer the case to an expert if necessary. The BK department also collaborates with several relevant parties to monitor and evaluate the progress of both the victim and the perpetrator. It is hoped that these prevention and handling mechanisms for bullying at the modern Islamic boarding school in Malang will effectively minimize bullying incidents.
