Abstract
The "Pupus Putus Sekolah" comic was first uploaded on the webtoon platform in 2021 and the story grew until season 5. The webtoon comic "Pupus Putus Sekolah" tells of a child who experiences school dropout because no family can afford to pay for it, until one day the kid gets an education even outside the school grounds.
The theory used is the reception analysis theory, the focus of the reception analysis theory is on receiving information delivered by the media. The paradigm used in this study is a constructive paradigm using qualitative methods and a descriptive type. These research subjects are followers of @kurniaharta's instagram account, which reads the comics "Pupus Putus Sekolah" with an purposive sampling and data collection methods using interviews and documentaries.
The result of this study was the webtoon comic reader's "Pupus Putus Sekolah" completely agree on the message the writer conveys to his work. All four subjects in this study have similar acceptations, the circumstances are occurring because some subjects are university students and some are university students.
