Abstract

KRL as an efficient and environmentally friendly mode of mass transportation requires careful analysis in terms of energy consumption, especially in relation to operational speed. The method used in this research involves simulating KRL trips on several routes at different speeds. Electrical power consumption data is analyzed to see the relationship pattern between speed and power consumed. From this research, the operational speed of KRL greatly influences the efficiency of electric power consumption. At a speed of 35 km/h it requires 33.5 kWh of energy and at a speed of 120 km/h it requires a power consumption of 202.6 kWh. Therefore, optimal speed settings need to be considered to minimize energy consumption without reducing operational efficiency. It is hoped that these findings can contribute to more efficient energy management in future KRL operations.
