Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of compensation on job satisfaction, the effect of compensation on motivation, the effect of motivation on job satisfaction, and the effect of compensation on job satisfaction through motivation as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative method. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The population used in this study was 40 production employees at UD. Aji Wijaya Konveksi with a saturated sample technique/census sampling, namely a technique for taking the entire population to be used as a sample if the respondents are less than 100 people. The data analysis technique used is the scale range and Smart PLS version 4.1. The results of the scale range indicate that the compensation variable is included in the good category, job satisfaction is included in the sufficient category, and motivation is included in the high category. The results of the Smart PLS version 4.1 test show that compensation affects job satisfaction, compensation affects motivation, motivation affects job satisfaction, and motivation can mediate the effect of compensation on job satisfaction.
