Abstract
Academic engagement is the involvement of the student in participating in learning activities and their attention in the academic field. Achieving good and quality learning outcomes cannot be separated from various influencing factors, inside or outside the classroom. One of the factors that can support increasing student academic engagement is teacher support. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher support on student academic engagement. This research is non-experimental quantitative research with a random sampling technique, and the research sample amounted to 240 people with the criteria of junior high school students, male or female and aged 12-15 years.
