Abstract

Based on the needs analysis conducted in this study, it was found that class V elementary students experience difficulties in understanding ecosystem-related materials due to a lack of educational media to support the learning process. Therefore, there is a need for engaging and suitable learning media for thematic learning, particularly in the subjects of Natural Sciences and the Indonesian Language. This study aims to describe the development of 3D thematic puzzle model media on ecosystem materials for class V elementary students.
The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), using the ADDIE research model. The ADDIE model consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analytical techniques used in this study include qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.
Based on the results obtained from the research on the developed and validated 3D puzzle model media, the content expert validation achieved a percentage of 90.00%, and the media expert validation reached 92.2%. These results indicate that the 3D Puzzle Model media falls into the highly appropriate category. From the student response questionnaire results, a score percentage of 90.90% was obtained, and the evaluation questions achieved an average score of 82, which meets the Minimum Criteria Requirements (KKM). Based on these percentage results, the 3D puzzle model media has proven effective in engaging students in understanding the material and in completing evaluation tasks, and it is validated for use in thematic learning involving Natural Sciences and Indonesian Language ecosystem materials for class V elementary students.
