Abstract
Flexible pavement planning is very important to ensure road durability,
comfort and safety, as well as supporting traffic efficiency and regional
development. Jalan Tembus Sisir Pandan Rejo in Batu City is one of the busiest
roads in this city, functioning as an important alternative route that reduces
congestion and increases accessibility to various tourist attractions. This research
aims to determine the planning of flexible pavement on Jalan Tembus Sisir Pandan
Rejo in Batu City using the Binamarga 2017 and Aashto 1993 methods. The method
used in this research is the research and development method, the data in this
research is divided into two, namely primary and secondary data.
Data processing in this research is also divided into two, namely geometric
road planning and secondly using the Aastho 1993 and Binamarga 2017 methods.
The results of the research reveal that the planning of the Sisir Pandan Rejo Pass
Road in Pandan Rejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City, as a collector road,
involves one two-way lane with a width of 12 meters at STA 0+000 to STA 0+100,
and 7 meters from STA 0+100 to STA 0+590. The road layout considers flat and
mountainous terrain, using a road width of 2 x 3.5 meters, with a speed of 40
km/hour in segments 1 and 3, and 60 km/hour in segment 2. Flexible pavement is
planned using the 2017 Bina Marga method with a foundation layer class A with a
thickness of 40 cm and a surface of 10 cm, and the AASHTO method with a surface
of 14 cm and a class B foundation of 16.5 cm.
