Abstract

Goat waste from 10 adult goats generates 14kg per day. This waste poses a risk of environmental pollution and livestock health problems. Spraying disinfectants such as Ecosys chlorine dioxide can be used to reduce putrefactive bacteria and odour in goat waste. This study aims to identify changes in colour, texture, and odour of goat faeces after being treated with Ecosys disinfectant at Pesona Satwa Farm. Data collection was done by directly observing goat faeces and using the interview method with farmers. Data were analysed using the SPSS Independent Sample T-Test statistical test. The results showed that there were significant changes in the colour and odour of goat faeces that became better after being given Ecosys, while the texture of faeces did not show significant changes. It can be concluded that Ecosys disinfectant significantly affected the colour and odour of goat faeces, but there was no significant difference in faecal texture. The use of faeces with Ecosys improved plant growth, vegetable quality, and soil quality, and reduced plant
diseases.
