EVALUASI KONSUMSI PAKAN, KONVERSI PAKAN, DAN BOBOT BADAN F1 PERIODE GROWER HASIL PERSILANGAN AYAM KAMPUNG WARENG BETINA DENGAN EMPAT GALUR PEJANTAN AYAM KAMPUNG

Free range chicken is a native chicken that has adapted to the tropical
environment of Indonesia. People who raise these chickens usually live in rural areas
and in suburban areas. There are many strains of native chicken that can be bred in
Indonesia. Examples are white chicken, wareng chicken, lurik chicken and ranupane
chicken. Efforts were made to improve performance and breeding through simple
genetic improvements, by crossing various strains of native chickens and by intensive
maintenance. The material used in this study was F1 mating in the grower phase of 4
free-range chicken lines from crosses from female Wareng chickens in the grower
period with four males with each line, Wareng, Lurik, Ranupane, and Putih. The
number of chickens used in this study amounted to 8 tails. The age of the chickens used
in this study was 9 weeks. The research method used in this research is observation.
This method has the aim of observing the results of marriage. The analytical technique
applied during the research was descriptive quantitative. The results obtained from the
study, the highest level of feed consumption was a cross between a white male and a
female wareng of 406.8 grams. The lowest feed conversion rate was found in
crossbreeds of Ranupane males and Wareng females, which was 7.7. Based on the
results of the study, it was concluded that the cross between the Ranupane male and
the female Wareng was the best crossbreed compared to other crosses.
