Abstract
GENETIC CORRELATION WEIGHT BORN WITH WEANING WEIGHT OF FRIESIAN HOLSTEIN FEMALES IN PT. GREENFIELDS INDONESIA

Abstrak
This research was conducted at PT. Greenfields Indonesia Babadan Village Ngajum District of Malang Regency East Java. The purpose of this research is to know the shape of the birth weight relationship with Female calf weaning weight of FH and to know the great level of closeness genetic relationship / genotive correlation between birth weight with weaning weight of FH females.
The material used in this research is calf FH females numbering 24 head from birth in November to January in PT. Greenfields Indonesia. These calves are produced from six different sire with each sire as many calf female 4 head . The method of this research is using genetic correlation method that is paternal half sib correlation with the formula rg = 4 CovS / 4σs2 * 4σw2, where this method is used to find relationship among variables studied other than that this method is used to examine how far the variable at One factor related to variation on other factors.
The result of genetic correlation analysis between Birth Weight and wean Weight, obtained (rG) = 0.54, where the relationship between birth weight and weaning weight is the genetic correlation + (high positive) is +0.5 to +1. In this calculation the result of correlation is positive where if one trait increase then other character also increase. Positive relationship of 0.54 shows that the relationship between these two properties is high positi where a large body weight will affect the growth of pasca when weaning. A large body weight is known to affect production in dairy cows. Genetic correlation of birth weight and weaning weight can be taken into consideration in the procurement of dairy cows, so with the appropriate selection method the population number more and more.
Suggestions from the results of this study is to re-analysis of other variables, for example birth weight with a weight of 1 year or weight of weaning with milk production, so it is found more effective selection time method.
