Abstract
Background: The action of chemotherapy has a physical and psychological impact on
cancer patients. When everything is focused on physical condition, often the
psychological condition of the patient is ignored. One of the non-pharmacological
methods of dealing with anxiety and stress is the distraction or redirection technique,
including the use of autogenic therapy, a combination of religious music therapy. The
advantages of autogenic therapy interventions are that the combination of religious
music therapy can enhance the recovery, and maintain physical, mental, emotional,
social and spiritual health, does not require capital, and can be done anywhere when
the patient feels anxious. This study aims to determine the level of anxiety before and
after given Autogenic Combined Religious Music Relaxation Therapy.
Methods: Research Methods Ners' Final Scientific Work is a case study report that
began on March 18-23, 2024. For autogenic relaxation interventions religious music
combinations were performed for 3 days in Singkarak room. A 60-year-old woman
with an ovarian cancer diagnosis with an emergency complaint was measured in a
qualitative, subjective, numerical scale based on the Indonesian External Care
Standards(SLKI).
Result: Autogenic relaxation combination of religious music is able to lower the level
of anxiety. From the observation data over three days of intervention, patients
complained about the disease and their family experience a decrease in the level of
anxiety characterized by decreases in blood pressure and pulse frequency.
Conclusion: The administration of autogenic relaxation interventions and religious
music can give a calming effect and can also help the patient expose their feelings,
calm the mood, and feel the positive change in him.
Advice: It is expected that the researchers will properly condition the environment at
the time of the intervention to get maximum results and encourage the patient to take
self-therapy anywhere at the moment of anxiety.
