Abstract

As an effort to develop Live on Board Tourism in Kataloka Country, the
Government hands over the full management of Live on Board Tourism in Kataloka
Country to the community, represented by the Wanu Atalo'a Traditional Institution
without charging taxes from the results of Tourism management. This research
aims to find out and describe how efforts are being made to develop tourism in
Kataloka after Covid-19 and what obstacles are faced in developing Live on Board
tourism in Kataloka. This research will provide an overview of how the
Government's efforts to develop Live on Board Tourism in Kataloka Country by
handing over tourism management to traditional institutions will have an impact
on the development of Tourism in Kataloka Country. The research method used in
this research is a qualitative research method, using sources. primary data and
secondary data sources, data collection techniques are carried out by means of
field observations, interviews with visiting tourists and traditional institutions that
manage tourism and documentation of activities carried out in tourism development
efforts. The results of this research show that the Government is fully involving the
people of Kataloka in tourism development, the development of Live on Board
tourism provides direct and indirect benefits to the people of Kataloka, but this
effort has not been completely successful due to several factors that hinder the
process of developing Live on Board Tourism in Kataloka State is the lack of
community participation and awareness in tourism development and budget
limitations in the development of Kataloka State Tourism.
