Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of English songs in improving students' vocabulary mastery. The research uses a Quasi-experimental method with observation and tests as research instruments. The study participants consisted of 30 students. During the study, English songs were used as a learning media focusing on vocabulary mastery. The results of this study show an improvement in students' vocabulary mastery after implementing English songs as a learning medium. The research methodology includes direct observation of participants during the learning process using English songs, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. Data collected through observation and tests were analyzed statistically to measure the improvement in students' vocabulary mastery. The study results indicate that thirty students who participated in the research experienced significant improvement in vocabulary mastery after using English songs. This is evidenced by an increase in student scores from pre-test to post-test. The average score on the pre-test was 62, while on the post-test, it was 90.6, demonstrating higher student achievement after using English songs as a teaching medium. Additionally, through observation, it was found that students showed active and enthusiastic participation in the learning process using English songs. Based on these findings, the effective implementation of English songs enhances students' vocabulary mastery. Using English songs as teaching media helps students become more active and engaged in the learning process and accelerates vocabulary learning. The results of this study provide significant contributions to education and teaching, particularly in enhancing students' vocabulary mastery through interactive and engaging teaching methods.
