Abstract
PT Indowire Prima Industrindo, part of Indoprima Group, focuses on the production of mechanical components and automotive cables, and has obtained ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications. With 207 employees, the company faces obstacles in the performance appraisal system that currently only relies on a few general criteria, which has an impact on product quality and delivery delays. This study aims to improve the performance appraisal system by applying the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method to determine the criteria and assessment weights, and MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis) to assign employee ratings. The AHP method is used to identify and determine the weights of criteria and sub-criteria, while MOORA is used to rank employees based on these weights. The results show that the most important criterion is Attendance (20%), followed by Work Thoroughness (17%), Work Relationship (16%), Target Achievement (16%), Empathy (16%), and Work Result and Quality (15%). The weight for each sub-criteria has also been determined according to its priority. The employee ranking obtained through MOORA identified Deni Budiantoro as the best performing employee (score 0.229), while Ahmad Furqon Arif was at the bottom (score 0.188). Recommendations for high performing employees include knowledge sharing and additional training, while low performing employees are advised to improve time management, adherence to procedures, and active communication. This research contributes to the development of a more thorough and effective performance appraisal system, and provides a solid basis for improvement of the performance evaluation system in the company.
