Abstract
Background: Neck pain is a common problem caused by computer or smartphone use and is often caused by poor body position. In ergonomics, neck angle is very important because improper neck position can cause pain and muscle tension. Research.
Objectives : . To determine the relationship between neck angle when sitting and neck pain in employees of Mitrakasih Hospital.
Research Method: Using analytical observation with cross-sectional method, conducted at a certain time. This study analyzes the correlation between neck angle and neck pain, with 50 respondents. Data collection was carried out using the neck pain disability index questionnaire and then using the apecs application to analyze the range of craniovertebral motion and a questionnaire to assess damage due to neck pain.
Results: There is a relationship between neck angle when sitting and neck pain in employees at Mitra Kasih Cimahi Hospital which is obtained from the hypothesis test with a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05).
Conclusion: The results of the study indicate a high relationship between the neck angle when sitting and neck discomfort in staff at Mitra Kasih Cimahi Hospital.
